The Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, 1st Wonder of Eastern Townships

 

Further to a survey conducted by Léger Marketing, Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, was named Eastern Townships’ “touristic wonder”. Wanting to identify seven “wonders” among the most appreciated by Quebecers in each touristic region of the province, Parc de la Gorge came ahead.

In the heart of the fifty meters (164 ft.) deep gorge are hiking trails, a wooded campground, an equestrian centre, mountain biking paths, a mini-farm and a floral garden. Among popular winter activities are Ski Joering, Yukigassen... The snowball fight, winter horseback riding, Crazy carpet sliding, snowshoeing, skating, ice climbing, winter camping and snowmobile and ATV relays.

A sport combining skiing and horses! As of this winter, this activity will be offered, using horses from the Parc’s equestrian centre. Visitors on skis will be pulled behind a horse guided by an experienced rider along a loop trail especially groo...
