Hiking trails

The majority of the trails are of intermediate level. These trails are not recommended for people with reduced mobility since they include several steps, up and downhill slopes. Usage of the baby carrier is recommended and strollers are not advised (even sports models). Baby carrier rental is available.

Pets are accepted, although they must be kept on a leash at all times in the Park (including on the campground). They are however prohibited in the shelters, ready-to-camp tents and on Foresta Lumina’s site.
The trail closes at the end of the day upon varying schedules depending on the date and visitors must leave in order to prepare Foresta Lumina. We recommend that you check the daily schedules.

The entire experience takes place outside within the Canyon’s trails which are partially leveled but not asphalted. These paths are not recommended for people with reduced mobility since they consider several step levels, downhill and climbing as well as the crossing of the suspended footbridge. Using a baby carrier is recommended although strollers are not recommended including the off-road/sports models. Baby carrier rental is available.

Several options are available to you. You can download the map from our website or download the free Ondago app from the App Store or Google Play.

Your ticket includes an entry for the day of your choice, during the current season. It is valid for one day only (single use). We strongly recommend that you purchase your ticket online before your visit by clicking here. You must keep your confirmation (digital or paper) with you at all times.

We strongly recommend that you purchase your ticket online prior to your visit by clicking here. On site, we strongly recommend card payments such as debit or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa). It is not possible to bring a BBQ on site.

Foresta Lumina

We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance in order to preserve the desired time visit.

The experience still takes place even in the rain; be sure to bring a rain jacket. Of course, if there is a major storm, we reserve the right to close Foresta Lumina, in order to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors. Management takes the decision to open/close at 3 pm.

Cancellation : If we need to cancel certain time schedules, a purple banner will appear at the top of forestalumina.com starting at 3 pm and the information will also be on our Facebook page under : Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook & Foresta Lumina. It is therefore your responsibility to verify, in case of bad weather conditions, if events are cancelled. Guests will then receive an email during the day to give them the procedure to postpone their visit to a later date for the current season. If you do not see a purple banner around 3 pm, Foresta Lumina is open.

It is important to know that we have employees at the beginning and at the end of the bridge who ensure the smooth passage. If you are less comfortable with heights, you can tell the employee at the beginning of the bridge that will reduce (to the extent possible) the number of people crossing the bridge at the same time.

Camping

Consult the schedule for opening dates. We recommend booking online.

We invite you to consult the website of the Society for the Protection of Forests Against Fire in order to find out whether open fires (campfires) are authorized or not.

Here are some guidelines that must be respected from the Public Health :

  • Limit your travel when you are on the site.
  • Campers must limit their trip to a simple round trip between their home and the campsite. We recommend doing your grocery shopping before leaving your area.

We also invite you to read the recommendations for campers at Camping Québec. The pamphlet for campers is very complete and will allow you to prepare your stay accurately with us!

Before your arrival, be well informed and well equipped!

  • Given government instructions, it is possible that certain facilities or activities are inaccessible for part or all of the current season. To avoid disappointment, please refer to the summer schedules section of our website.
  • Prepare an adequate supply of hand soap and gel sanitizer.
  • Make sure to bring cleaning and sanitizing supplies such as disinfectant wipes to use on frequently touched surfaces.
  • Prepare yourself with facial protection such as masks or visors.
  • Make sure you have a tablecloth on hand for your picnic table.
  • Consider the option of bringing your own sports equipment if necessary.
  • If you have a reservation for a shelter or a ready-to-camp, you must bring your bed linen (sheets, pillows, towels).
  • If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with someone affected, please do not show up and respect the 14 days of confinement recommended by the government.
