Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook<\/em> and Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature<\/em> are creating the \u201cMobilization for little bellies<\/strong>\u201d campaign to give back to its community by offering meals and snacks in regional Coaticook schools.<\/p>\n

Coaticook, September 27th<\/sup>, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 The Mobilization for little bellies<\/strong> campaign organized by both parks focuses on raising funds to contribute concretely towards meals and snacks offered in schools within the City of Coaticook.<\/p>\n

This upcoming October 7th<\/sup>, 1$ per admission sold (hiking, mountain biking, Foresta Lumina and Acoatica) will be reallocated in various food aid programs of four selected Coaticook primary schools.<\/p>\n

\u00ab The idea came from Carolane, one of our employees. Having school staff within her close surroundings, the difficulty in providing meals and snacks to children was at the heart of many of their discussions. Carolane suggested finding a way to get us involved to make the daily lives of families and schools easier. The entire management team immediately found the idea inspiring and that\u2019s how \u201cMobilization for little bellies<\/strong>\u201d was born. \u00bb mentions Caroline Sage, general director of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook<\/em> and Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature.<\/em><\/p>\n

As for the board of directors, they approved the project immediately! \u201cMobilization for little bellies<\/strong>\u201d responds to a real concern for which we can help make a difference. We also invite visitors and the surrounding Coaticook population to place monetary donations in assigned boxes upon both reception areas: the Denis Maurais<\/em> reception and Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature<\/em> reception\u201d adds Jean-Yves Caron, president of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook\u2019s<\/em> board of directors.<\/p>\n

The Mobilization for little bellies<\/strong> campaign will take place on October 7th<\/sup> for a first edition including online and on-site admission sales within park reception zones: campsite reception (400, St-Marc Street, Coaticook), Denis Maurais<\/em> reception area (135, Michaud Street, Coaticook) and Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature\u2019s<\/em> reception (2471, Baldwin-Barnston Road, Coaticook).<\/p>\n
