Coaticook, January 26th<\/sup>, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 The parks are delighted to announce a series of captivating activities in February and March, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to play outside, have fun and relax on enchanting sites! February, play outside<\/strong>! and March, on break!<\/strong> are part of the popular Winter Fun program and are presented in partnership with the City of Coaticook. Saturdays from February 3rd<\/sup> to March 9th<\/sup>, 2024 will be animated through various dynamic themes, inviting people to come and enjoy the magical benefits of the Parks!<\/p>\n

\u201cThese moments are much more than just events. Our natural spaces offer a shelter, a place where families, friends and neighbors can come together and share moments of joy, adventure and relaxation,\u201d indicates Caroline Sage, general director of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook<\/em> and Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A series of thrilling experiences will be offered in addition to regular opening hours. Whether you are a winter sports enthusiast or simply looking for an outdoor adventure, the Parks offer entertainment for everyone.<\/p>\n

STAR SATURDAY-February 3rd \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get ready for a joyful 5 to 8 happy hour<\/strong> at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook<\/em>! In partnership with Progr\u00e8s de Coaticook<\/em> and Infrasound<\/em>, vibrate to the rhythm of the music with our DJ <\/strong>and enjoy the specially illumined ice rink.<\/strong> Add action to your evening under the stars with hikes<\/strong>, fatbiking<\/strong>, snowshoeing<\/strong>, and Li\u00e9ri<\/strong> (escape game<\/strong>) using a headlamp. No need to rack your brain for dinner, the Park\u2019s snack bar<\/strong> will be open great products and beers from local microbreweries will be featured! Access to the activity requires site entrance ticket purchase.<\/p>\n

ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT-February 10th<\/sup> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Whether you are an ice fishing enthusiast or want to discover this sport, a big-paying fishing tournament awaits you. Fish one of the paying trouts<\/strong> and win $1000,<\/strong> $500 or $250<\/strong>! Your participation in the one-hour paid fishing trip is included in the cost of the ice fishing ticket. You can increase your chances and extend your participation for a few additional dollars, payable on site only. It will be possible to warm up by discovering a winter version of Acoatica’s indoor interactive games<\/strong>. Reserve your place now and earn a chance to replenish your wallet! Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature<\/em> will also be open for ice fishing and Acoatica on February 3rd<\/sup>, 17th<\/sup> and 24th<\/sup> as well as March 2nd<\/sup>, 5th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup> , 2024. The Park is open from 10am to 4pm (last entry is at 2:30pm).<\/p>\n

SUPRISE SATURDAY-February 17th <\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you spontaneous and like taking on challenges? Add this date to your calendar for an unforgettable day at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook<\/em> in partnership with CIGN.<\/em> What this day has in store is a well-kept secret<\/strong>, but rest assured that there will be new things, laughter and challenges from 1pm to 4pm Access to this \u201cmystery<\/strong>\u201d is included with on-site ticket purchase which includes admission to the ice rink, the farm and parking.<\/p>\n

SWEET SATURDAY-24th <\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the opportunity to get together, dance and eat sweets at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook <\/em>from 1pm to 4pm. On site, taste the delights of the CRIFA sugar shack<\/strong>, enjoy cart and pony rides<\/strong> and visit the farm and its small animals. Not to be missed, an introduction to traditional Quebec dances<\/strong> in partnership with DEVCO <\/em>and GC Brieau<\/em>. Live the experience of Canadian evenings with our caller <\/em>and her two musicians. They will guide you step by step in a festive atmosphere. Access to this unique experience is included with the purchase of an entrance ticket.<\/p>\n

FAMILY SATURDAY March 2nd<\/sup> to 5th<\/sup> <\/strong><\/p>\n

What to do during the long-awaited school break? \u00a0Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook\u2019s<\/em> team in partnership with the Coaticook RCM<\/em> and Carbone Graphique<\/em> offers us the excitement of a dog sleigh ride <\/strong>(with reservation from March 2nd<\/sup> to 5th<\/sup>). On March 2nd<\/sup>, from 1pm to 4pm, young and old will be able to have their makeup done for free and even ride ponies<\/strong> for a few dollars more on site. And guess what? Your ticket includes access to the ice rink, farm<\/strong> and free parking! Don’t miss this special day full of family memories.<\/p>\n

STAR SATURDAY March 9th <\/strong><\/p>\n

This evening will close the winter program theme-based Saturdays in 2024. In partnership with Infrasound<\/em>, we offer you a happy hour<\/strong> to the sound of the DJ’s catchy rhythms<\/strong> in a bright setting on the ice rink<\/strong> that will put stars in your eyes! The hiking,<\/strong> snow biking\/fatbike,<\/strong> snowshoeing<\/strong> and snow scooter<\/strong> trails as well as the Li\u00e9ri (escape game)<\/strong> will be accessible until 6:30 p.m. with a headlamp. Treat yourself to the park’s snack bar which will have local products and alcoholic beverages on the menu. Access to the activity requires the purchase of on-site entrance ticket.<\/p>\n
