The magic of Foresta Lumina takes flight to downtown Coaticook!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coaticook, June 21st<\/sup>, 2018<\/strong> – The still popular appeal since its creation in 2014 is renewed for its 2018 season. In addition to novelty on the course, Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook\u2019s management team created a partnership with the City of Coaticook to increase the magical characteristic of Foresta Lumina.<\/p>\n

“For us, this partnership was the logical continuation of Foresta Lumina\u2019s evolution. Naturally, we are excited and convinced that visitors will be just as happy, “said Fran\u00e7ois Lajeunesse, president of the Coaticook Gorge Development Society. The extension towards downtown is a bonus to the Foresta Lumina experience and is also a great occasion to take advantage of Foresta Lumina’s free shuttles. In total, more than 4 enchanted shuttles will make the trip between the city and Foresta Lumina every 30 minutes. “This synergy between the two organizations is a win-win situation for all. We are delighted to add a touch of Foresta Lumina to downtown. In addition to the lanterns, the presentation will seduce visitors who will certainly remember their magical stay in Coaticook ” said Simon Madore, Mayor of Coaticook.<\/p>\n

Regarding the novelties on the course Parc de la Gorge Coaticook\u2019s director, Caroline Sage says that “they will certainly charm our guests I have two excellent reasons to be so convinced. First, I saw them and I love them! Secondly, these additions are the results of laborious assessments surrounding our guest\u2019s opinions and comments”. We considered the most appreciated aspects of the path and improved or deleted following visitor\u2019s recommendations. This is how our recent Foresta Lumina\u2019s innovations are born.”<\/p>\n

From this rigorous observation analysis originated the new area named the devil’s den! This new projection will allow a better understanding of the story surrounding the meeting between Margaret and the devil. Thus, the “luminaries” will be able to better understand why the devil is angry and sets fire to the fiddly Tree. The atmosphere of this new area is infuriated, but still suitable for a family clientele. In addition to this new area, the frames section has been redesigned. Giant frames explaining, among other things, the significance of Foresta Lumina\u2019s symbols have been resized and repositioned in more strategic locations.These several innovations are “a golden opportunity\u201d for Moment Factory to collaborate with the dynamic teams of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and city of Coaticook in order to grow the Foresta Lumina experience. Within downtown Coaticook, a colorful intrusion of Foresta Lumina\u2019s magical forest and trails in which guests will attend the gathering of our main character, Margaret, and the devil. Several Video additions hopefully increasing the excitement of a unique experience “says Marie Belzile, director, Moment Factory.<\/p>\n

All these embellishments have been made possible thanks to different partners. In 2018, more than $ 1.3 million was invested: $ 442,200 from the Ministry of Tourism, $ 125,000 from the City of Coaticook, $ 59,000 from the Coaticook RCM and to invest $ 705,000 in the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook.<\/p>\n

\nParc de la Gorge de Coaticook is a non-profit organization that welcomes more than 300,000 visitors annually. Turning out to be an important tourist player in the Eastern Townships, it offers the clientele outdoor activities during all seasons: Foresta Lumina, hiking, camping, mountain biking and fatbike, Margaret\u2019s farmhouse and other winter products.<\/p>\n
