Survival is at the heart of a new sporting, immersive, gourmet and technological experience at the Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Coaticook, August 29th<\/sup> 2019<\/strong>\u2013 The Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature is thrilled to announce an innovative project in the tourism sector.\u00a0 Indeed, starting in 2020, survival will be at the heart of the experience at Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature\u2019s new interactive and technological course.\u00a0 This major project will necessitate investments of over 2\u00a0700\u00a0000 $.<\/p>\n

The Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature\u2019s project, named \u00ab Acoatica \u00bb aims to transform the entire site (buildings and exterior spaces) into huge billboards that are part of an immersive and interactive survival game in which the visitor becomes the hero.\u00a0 Spread out over the entire site due to accessible and omnipresent technologies, Acoatica uses a playful, informative and interactive approach that values nature and brings out the uniqueness of the site while offering an experience to enjoy with your FAMILY or with friends that you won\u2019t find anywhere else.<\/p>\n

Caroline Sage, Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature\u2019s director, specifies that \u00abthe game\u2019s objective is to manage to create the biggest fish bank of one of four species of the fish farm.\u00a0 To achieve that, visitors will have to take up different challenges so as to minimize negative effects and, most importantly, find solutions to problems like deforestation, the introduction of invasive species, overfishing, contaminants, habitat destruction and reestablishing the environmental equilibrium of the chosen species\u00bb.<\/p>\n

A dynamic region, dynamic partners<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It goes without saying that a project of this scale demands the collaboration of many partners. Therefore, the Parc is extremely happy to be able to count on the financial support of the Canada Economic Development agency for Quebec Regions. \u00abThe new Federal Tourism Growth Strategy for rural communities is a success and ensures that activities will keep growing here in Baldwin.\u00a0 Parc D\u00e9couverte Nature\u2019s team has gone all out with the development of a new immersive and gourmet experience that uses high tech!<\/p>\n
