Foresta Lumina launches its 10th season of amazement at Parc de le Gorge de Coaticook!

Coaticook, June 9th, 2023 – It was upon nightfall that Friday that Foresta Lumina began its 10th season of enchantment. The course revived annually amazed since its creation in 2014 and the enthusiasm is still present for the greatest pleasure of nature lovers and magic!

“It is a great pride to be here tonight. This is the perfect opportunity to relive the highlights of Foresta Lumina, surrounded by people who believed in our dream and who contributed to the growth and influence of our world-renowned night course. Our DNA has been the same since the very beginning: INNOVATION, CREATIVITY and ENGAGEMENT. This is what drives us and allows us to ensure the sustainability of Foresta Lumina. At the heart of all its previous years, we have repeatedly traveled through our enchanted forest, observed the reactions of our luminaries (visitors of Foresta Lumina), read thousands of satisfaction surveys, integrated the notions of sustainable tourism, to name only a few. says Caroline Sage, creator of Foresta Lumina and general manager of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and Parc Découverte Nature.

Over the seasons, several improvements have increased the charm of Foresta Lumina. Let us name in particular: the extension and improvement sometimes less and sometimes more visible: the renewal of the high-performance technology, a transformation of the reception area to match the secret garden unveiled in 2023 , the Harmony of the Big Trees interactive zone, the projection of Margaret’s Secret, the Foresta Lumina brilliance rousing towards downtown Coaticook, the renewal of Tonnerre to advance towards more “Instagrammable” pictures, not to mention the return of the doe that was on the initial ads that recently returned in a display at the end of the suspended footbridge.

“In total, more than 5 million dollars will have been invested to accommodate nearly one million luminaries. From the start, we believed in the potential of Foresta Lumina. Thus, we have noticed an increase in the length of stays at our campsite, more enthusiasts on our hiking and mountain bike trails, even during the winter season. We would also like to thank our many valuable and loyal financial partners: Government of Quebec, City of Coaticook, Tourisme Cantons-de-l’Est, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Energy, Coaticook RCM, Desjardins–Caisse des Verts-Sommets de l’Estrie,–Regional Conference of Elected Officials of Eastern Townships. added Jean-Yves Caron, Chairman of the Board at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook.

On the Moment Factory side, the collaboration with the Park remains a great pride and a turning point of the company. “We are delighted to celebrate with the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook the 10th anniversary of our first Lumina Enchanted Night Walk. The challenge was to bring this exceptional site to life at night through the magic of multimedia, and it has now become a must-see attraction in the region. Foresta Lumina means a lot to us at Moment Factory, but also to many members and businesses in the local community” adds Gabriel Pontbriand, Creative Director at Moment Factory.

“Behind the success of Foresta Lumina is a human side which is hard work, passion and vision which have made this place a must on the Quebec cultural scene. Year after year, we can count on an extremely dedicated team. Which is a great privilege” adds Jean-Yves Caron.

Since its opening, Foresta Lumina has remained an attraction where the magical benefits of nature are appointed. It is a place of gathering, sharing and discovery, where families, friends and visitors from all over the world can get lost with enchantment in the mysterious paths and feel the wonder that unites generations. It is also a reminder of the importance of preserving our environment and our responsibility towards future generations.

Foresta Lumina will open its doors as of June 16th and online reservation at forestalumina.com is recommended in order to obtain the desired time allotment.
