June 15th , 2017, Coaticook, – For the fourth consecutive season, Foresta Lumina is still one of the greatest attraction in Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook. The event has illuminated a total 375 000 visitors to this day. In 2017, many additions and new concepts are added to the events trails. New visitors will be amazed. For those who have already visited the pathway, management pledges that it is absolutely necessary to come back.
“We basically considered our visitor’s comments which nearly brought us to a 1,000,000 $ investment in new material/concepts. Thus, two new zones have been created, bringing the total number of zones to nine. The new zone entitled “The great tree harmony” will allow visitors to sing the fantastic hymn in order to bring the forest’s spirit to manifest its presence and amaze these visitors. This new area contains three immersive sections in which the more guests participate, the more the forest spirit will be sensed. A “wow” reaction is assured! “Explains Caroline Sage, director of Le Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook.
The final touch is certainly promising as it includes “The secret of Margaret” zone. Margaret is the young women who has now lived within the enchanted forest for decades. Blessed with an uncommon gift; she can see all the magical creatures. It is therefore through a few presences of Margaret that people visit Foresta Lumina. This character is therefore fully revealed at the end of the journey. “We wanted to include an ending that would better explain the minding of Foresta Lumina and truthfully close the story. This new ending concept somewhat follows the classic “and they lived happily ever after… ” is to all fairy tales. “We are very proud of these additions,” says Simon Madore, Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook’s Society Development President.
Foresta Lumina will be opening its doors June 16th, 2017. Schedules, rates and tickets are available online at forestalumina.com.
