Foresta Lumina receives “Best Quality Leadership Award” presented for the first time to a Quebec tourist attraction by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).

 Coaticook, December 11th , 2018 – Caroline Sage, General Manager of Parc de la gorge de Coaticook, was presented, in front of fifty-three delegations from forty-eight countries, with the Best Quality Leadership Award, a major and international recognition. This award offered to the organization for its leading activity, Foresta Lumina. “The pride of receiving this award is significant since it is the first time this award has been given to a Quebec tourism company and for the second time to a Canadian company. Air Canada has earned this honor previously.

The Best Quality Leadership Award 2018 Gala was organized by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) on December 10th in Las Vegas. The ESQR is an organization that recognizes innovation and advance quality development leadership within organizations, companies and governments on the international level. The award emphasizes on the integral vision rendered by corporate executives into their societies. Recognizing the outstanding efforts and talent of employees, and stimulates for continual progress. Conquerors of this recognition are companies, public administrations and organizations, who have distinguished themselves by their products and/or services and have continued to push the boundaries of quality while working hard and committing to deliver with ever renewed quality.

“We are delighted to receive this award which magically concludes our 2018 season,” says Caroline Sage. Foresta Lumina is a must in the tourism industry. “The activity has exceled internationally since its creation in 2014 and the Best Quality Leadership Award confirms this fact after our fifth season, we are still the leaders of night activities. This is greatly exciting for years to come, “says the Executive Director.

 Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook is a non-profit organization that welcomes more than 300,000 visitors annually. As a major tourism industry player in the Eastern Townships and Quebec region, it offers its clientele outdoor activities during the entire year: hiking, camping, mountain biking, fat bike, Margaret’s Farmhouse, winter products and Foresta Lumina.

Foresta Lumina was created in 2014. Since then, more than 635,000 luminaries (Foresta Lumina visitors) have traveled the enchanting forest of Parc de la gorge de Coaticook. The night courses have been enhanced each season since its beginning. Today there are 11 zones including the four new zones and its new projection in the city of Coaticook. This night activity is Parc de la gorge de Coaticook’s leading activity.
